Remarkably, this video commercial, even in its closing message, echoes themes found in Ecclesiastes.

An evocative photographic exploration of the book. Images come and go as we hear music and the full text of Ecclesiastes read (is it in Russian?), with English subtitles (or, if one chooses, subtitles in Russian or Hebrew). Rather than directly match each image to the text, Mr. Brickman uses a subtler approach, in which the photographs connect to the text sometimes directly and sometimes, as he says, with “not even a likeness, but more like a feeling.” Mr. Brickman’s notes give further insight into this interpretative work.
